My heart drives me to use all of my senses to explore, experience, learn and create! I am an adventurer at heart. All my life I have searched for what is different and off the beaten path. The fuel for my explorations has always been nature, animals and art. They, more than anything else, have driven me to keep moving.
Thru Wild Eyes is the result of my explorations. Art has always been a passion of mine. While I was a child, summering on the Jersey Shore, I took adult classes at the local art institute. This passion was further nurtured during my time at Miss Porters, and later I studied photography at the Philadelphia Institute of Art, Parsons School of Design, and University of Hartford Art School. Despite spending most of my life developing this talent, it was not until I stepped off the plane in Masai Mara, Africa that it clicked for me. Photography was something I could make into a career, and the way to doing that was through my favorite subjects, animals. It was the connection that I had with gorgeous lions and majestic elephants that solidified, to me, that my talents as a photographer could be used to bridge the gap between humans and animals.
Since that trip I have received my certification in Animal Reiki and Animal Energy Healing. I have also expanded my art from photography to jewelry, encaustic painting, cards, and tiles. I hope to continue to expand and grow as I explore this world and where it will take me. Please feel free to poke around my website, check out the galleries and learn more about the charities that I donate to. Feel free to contact me with any questions and check back on my blog to see what projects I am working on! Ciao, ML

I am excited to announce that I will have a booth at the Hill-Stead Museum’s Annual May Market, May 6th-7th. The Hill-Stead celebrates the beginning of Spring every year by hosting a home, garden and gourmet benefit event. As an annual visitor to the Market I am excited to, for the first time, be a vendor. I will be displaying my photography, encaustic paintings, tiles and some jewelry for purchase. On top of vendors the market will also host a featured speaker, Alexa Hampton, and will be giving complimentary tours of the museum. I encourage you, if you are in the area, to stop by to this great event. Tickets can be purchased here. If you can’t make it, I will be posting pictures and will be sure to have a recap of the event in my next post! I hope to see you at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, CT May 6th-7th. Ciao, ML
